We believe that restoring Nailsworth’s railway line is not only possible, but also a great idea for Nailsworth, Woodchester, Dudbridge, and maybe beyond. Transporting rail-goers along the Nailsworth valley could be a boon to local shops and businesses, and we believe the return of steam puffing along the valley floor would provide mcuh-needed cheer while also bringing together a community of enthusiasts. Our plan is 100% not to remove the cycle/walking path: we intend to run alongside it.

The owner of this site is often to be found back in the Stroud valleys, and thanks to this project, now has something fun to occupy himself with while he is here. If you ask him why he wants this railway to return, he will explain to you in highly technical yet boring detail about why any naysayers are wrong and how he is not a train nerd, without the slightest self awareness. He also wrote this about himself in the third person.
